Knitting Pattern for a Easy Lacy Scarve
Today I'm going to bear witness you how to knit a lace scarf and this is for absolute beginners. If you already know the basics of lace knitting then just scroll down, find the instructions, and starting time knitting. But if y'all are a beginner then come with me – you're going to love this journey 🙂
NB! There are instructions on how to knit this design as a shawl instead of a scarf down below
Now, the lace design nosotros're going to attempt has a design echo of 10 stitches over 12 rows, and the wrong side rows are purl rows (except the edge stitches). We will practise 3 repeats for the scarf. And here's how it will look like:
To knit this lace scarf you will need:
- 100 yard of fingering or sport weight yarn (I use DROPS Alpaca)
- 3 mm / US 2.five knitting needles (I prefer needles made of wood)
- (optional) 5 sew together markers – 2 in one color, three in some other color
You lot can use any yarn yous like. Just make certain you'll follow the recommended needle size on the yarn label.
Abbreviations:
- st(s) – stitch(es);
- RS – right side;
- WS – wrong side;
- yard – knit;
- p – purl;
- yo – yarn over;
- k2tog – knit 2 together;
- ssk – skid, slip, knit together;
If y'all are a beginner then see this video tutorial and knit with me:
